This program focus on research, aimed at building outstanding physician scientists in medical research, education, and patient care. As the first medical school in Southeast Asia follows the American model of post-baccalaureate medical education in which students begin their medical studies after earning a bachelor’s degree. Duke-NUS offer a unique opportunity for students with potential to excel in the field of medicine and biomedical sciences.

Students must have at least a bachelor’s degree and higher post-graduate qualifications such as Masters, PhD are strongly encouraged. They must have MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) results and applicants whose medium of instruction during undergraduate studies was not in English must have TOEFL (Test of English as Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 600 on the paper test or 213 on the computer-administered test or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with an overall band score of 7 is required for admission.
