This course is aimed at producing computer professionals with a solid foundation of applied computing knowledge and the skills to develop and manage information systems. The course focuses on the application of software engineering methodologies, techniques and supporting tools to the conception, specification, analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of commercial and industrial software systems. It is designed to provide students with a balance of academic and work related skills to give graduates a real advantage in the job market, increasing the employability of students who are equipped with the right skills to develop exciting and dynamic careers. After completing, students will have the skills and knowledge to look for employment in user organizations or software houses, carrying out bespoke software development of real life systems, analysis and design of real life systems and software end user support and training.

Applicant must have completed any one of the following qualifications: BTEC Higher National Diploma in relevant field; Southern College Diploma; Polytechnic Diploma; 2nd year Undergrad in relevant field; any other equivalent qualifications or a pass in English.
